What are Sea Creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Sea Creatures, as the name suggests, are critters you can find at the bottom of the ocean by diving. They have their own Critterpedia page, despite most of them being fish.
Once the Museum is open on your island, you will also have the ability to donate your catches. While you won't receive any rewards for donating them, your Museum will begin to look pretty neat once it begins to fill up with new finds.
If collecting isn't your thing and you're after some extra cash, sea creatures can be sold for Bells. While some critters will be worth more than others, players can use these Bells to purchase furniture and other useful items such as tools.
How to Catch Sea Creatures
To catch sea creatures in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you'll need to buy a Wet Suit. You can pick one up from Nook's Cranny for 3,000 Bells or you can order one through the Nook Shopping app.
Once you have the Wet Suit, equip it and dive into the water by pressing "A" near the ocean. You can even jump off the rocks, or less exciting, calmly wade into the sea from the beach.
While swimming, you'll eventually come across bubbles. Swim over the bubbles and press "Y" to dive down and you'll come back up with a sea creature.
If the shadow starts moving away, you can keep swimming underwater by tapping "A" and catch the elusive creature by pressing "A" once you're over the shadow.
